We recently conducted a successful Proof of Concept (POC) with a LINDE I-MATIC AGV at a customer operating in the beverage industry.
During this test, we simulated an automated transport process in which the AGV picked up two pallets of mineral water per trip and then transported them autonomously to a temporary storage location.
A major challenge in this project was the specific load configuration. Not only did two pallets have to be safely and securely loaded per trip, but the precise stacking of these loads also required a high degree of accuracy. In addition, the goal was to make maximum use of the available storage space. For this reason, aisle widths were deliberately kept as narrow as possible, and the pallets had to be placed one behind the other with extreme accuracy and minimal spacing.
Thanks to the advanced navigation, detection, and positioning technology of the LINDE AGV, both the transport and the stacking processes were carried out reliably and consistently. The AGV succeeded in safely moving the pallets, positioning them accurately, and making optimal use of the available storage capacity, even within the limited space of the temporary storage zone.
The goal of this POC was to evaluate the feasibility, efficiency, and reliability of automated pallet transport within the production environment. During the test, the LINDE AGV carried out the transport tasks completely autonomously, ensuring consistent and precise handling of the flow of goods.
This demonstration shows how AGV technology can help companies optimize internal logistics processes, increase productivity, and create a safer work environment. Automation also proves its added value in applications where space utilization, precise positioning, and stacking operations are crucial.
With innovative automation solutions like this one, TOP Bronnen is taking the next step toward a future-oriented and efficient logistics organization.
